Composite steel formwork manufacturer supply: How to calculate the area of steel formwork?

source:Shandong Tianhong Heavy Industry Co., Ltd
Abstract:

The calculation of steel formwork area needs to choose the corresponding method according to the engineering scenario, mainly divided into two calculation systems: contact area and unfolded area:

1、 Basic calculation rules
Contact area method
Applicable to the calculation of formwork engineering quantity for cast-in-place concrete structures, measured based on the actual contact area between steel formwork and concrete. Holes with a single hole area ≤ 0.3m ² are not deducted, and the formwork on the side wall of the hole is not included.
Example of calculation formula:
Beam template: 500mm high x 2m long x 2 sides+300mm wide x 2m=2.6 ㎡
Construction column template: [structural layer height x column section perimeter] - beam section area
Expand the area method
Used for irregular structures or precise accounting scenarios, to calculate the sum of the surface area of each side of the template after unfolding:
L-shaped column unfolding area=(outer edge length A+outer edge length B) × 2 × net height column cross-sectional area
The curved structure is unfolded according to actual geometry, requiring an additional 10-15% overlap loss
2、 Special scenario handling
Key data correction items for scene calculation
Bridge box girder bottom+side+end area, arc-shaped corner area increases by 7-12%
The perimeter of the portal frame column in the industrial factory building multiplied by the net height plus the unfolded area of the bottom surface of the crossbeam, and the area of the bolt holes, shall be deducted by 5%
Calculation of spherical block expansion for dome structure, with an additional welding overlap of 15%
3、 Quick calculation skills
Standardized component quick calculation
Square column template area=(length+width) × 2 × height
Circular column template area=π × diameter × height+head plate area
Batch engineering optimization
Using BIM model to automatically extract contact area, the accuracy error can be controlled within ± 2%
Note: The calculation of the unfolded area of the steel formwork needs to be synchronized with the weight calculation. The theoretical weight of the 2mm thick Q235 steel formwork is 15.7kg/m2 (including a reinforcement correction factor of 1.05).
